Friday, 28 June 2002, 1:56 pm Press Release: ACT New Zealand
Friday 28 Jun 2002
ACT Broadcasting Spokesman MP Penny
Webster is pleased that Marian Hobbs has taken ACT advice
and backed off introducing the state television Charter
before the election.
"This nebulous piece of work
shouldn't be implemented.
"Ms Hobbs' delays are
becoming legendary. Staff at TVNZ have lost morale with
this constant threat hanging over them.
"How many
delays do we have to have before Ms Hobbs and the Government
admit the Charter just isn't workable, and should be
scrapped?" Mrs Webster asked.
