Dunne appointed to Asia 2000 Board
United Future New Zealand leader, Peter Dunne, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Asia 2000 Foundation.
In confirming the appointment, Foreign Minister, Phil Goff, said that with Mr Dunne’s particular background and experience, he was well placed to make a singular contribution to Asia 2000’s work.
Mr Dunne said United Future was one party that welcomed the contribution of Asians to New Zealand society and he was delighted to accept the appointment.
The Asia 2000 Foundation was established in June 1994 to promote the integration of an Asian dimension into economic and educational initiatives. Its aim is to develop greater knowledge and understanding among New Zealanders of Asian countries, peoples, economies and cultures.
