Alexander applauds Parole Board decision

United Future law and order spokesman, Marc Alexander, applauds the Parole Board’s decision to decline an application for home detention from the country’s youngest convicted killer, Bailey Junior Kurariki.

“It is my hope that this case will not be re-visited by the Parole Board for the legal maximum of the next three years,” said Mr Alexander.

“After twelve months in residence at Kingslea, Kurariki has been reported twelve times for behavioural incidents.

“I hope he will spend the next period of detention reflecting on his crime, the effects on the victim’s family and what he can do to make reparation,” said Mr Alexander.
