Jim gives job losses for Xmas!

Jim gives job losses for Xmas!

"Carter Holt Harvey's closure of Tokoroa Sawmill is as much evidence as you need that this Government cares very little for the forestry workers of New Zealand," says Brian Connell, National's spokesman for Forestry.

"His policies have brought a miserable Christmas present to the families whose jobs and livelihoods have been lost."

"It isn't as if he didn't have warning. National has been warning Mr Anderton for some time that unless he acts to reduce compliance costs whilst the industry is undergoing difficulties, jobs would be lost!" "These job losses are a direct result of his ignorance and arrogance," Mr Connell confirmed.
