The 2005/06 ACC levy on petrol will increase the annual
cost of the levy to the average motorist by $9.52 a year,
NOT by an extra $80.78 as reported in today’s Dominion Post.
The levy has increased by 0.7c per litre of petrol, up
from 5.08c to 5.78c a litre.
The annual cost of the levy
is now $80.78 for the average motorist, up from $71.26.
The levy helps to pay for the cost of injuries on New
Zealand's roads.
