Nat's tax cut policy good news for New Zealand

ACT Leader Rodney Hide today praised National's commitment to cut taxes by $2.2 billion next year and by $3.9 billion in year three.

"It's a decent cut that will see the top rate of tax and the company rate of tax dropped below 30 percent. That's just the spur that New Zealand needs.

"National should go the entire distance though and cancel the dopey Cullen Super Fund. Don Brash was right when he called the Cullen Fund "financial smoke and mirrors".

"Cancelling the Cullen fund would double the size of the tax cut National could deliver next year. That would be a decent tax cut. With ACT in Parliament that will be the tax cut that will be delivered," Mr Hide said.
