ACT leader Rodney Hide said today it was absurd for
Winston Peters to think he can collect the "baubles of
office" and yet sit with the opposition in
parliament.
"Winston was given the choice of supporting a
National-led government. He chose Labour. He's made his bed
- he now must lie in it.
"I have told Margaret Wilson that
it is totally inappropriate for Winston Peters to have a bob

up the Labour government.
"I can understand why Winston
hates being photographed and being sat amongst the Labour
Cabinet. But that's the choice he made for the country. He
now has to live with
it.
