Mobile termination rate decision delegated

Minister David Cunliffe has delegated the decision on the
Commerce Commission's mobile termination rate
recommendations to his colleague, Economic Development
Minister Trevor Mallard.
"This delegation is for the
purposes of the mobile termination rate decision only," Mr
Cunliffe said.
"The delegation is being made to avoid any
perceptions of a conflict of interest."
Trevor Mallard
indicated that he would study submissions and briefings over
the Christmas period and that he hopes to make a decision
within two
months.
