Farmers Don’t Lose Your Profits!
New Zealand First primary production spokesperson Doug Woolerton has again urged dairy farmers to be wary of Fonterra's proposals for a partial or full floating of the dairy giant.
“At a time of increasing dairy payouts, it is absurd that Fonterra executives would even consider stripping that profit away from farmers and into the hands of foreign investors,” said Mr Woolerton.
“As I have been saying for some time now, and will continue to say, Fonterra was set up by farmers, for farmers, and should remain the property of farmers. Partial or full listing is not an option, what is best for the farmers is what must be done,” said Mr Woolerton.
