Dairy Honours a Credit to the Industry
Fonterra chairman Henry van der Heyden’s award as a Distinguished Companion of the New Zealand order of Merit is not only a great honour for Mr van der Heyden, but also for the dairy industry as a whole, says New Zealand First rural affairs spokesperson Doug Woolerton.
“This award is recognition of the huge part Fonterra plays in New Zealand, especially in our export sector.
“Mr van der Heyden has joined a small but distinguished group of New Zealanders who have had the success of the dairy industry as their main objective, and dairy farmers have prospered as a result. It is fitting that Mr van der Heyden should join this select group,” said Mr Woolerton.
