Bipartisan commitment to negotiation welcomed
ACC Minister Ruth Dyson today welcomed Parliament’s agreement that meat processor Affco return to mediation with ACC over the $1 million costs of a workplace claim.
“I am a strong supporter of negotiated resolution and I am encouraged by the bipartisan commitment reached in the House today to urge Affco to return to the negotiating table to resolve this dispute.”
“As I have said previously, if there is a dispute over the facts between Affco and ACC, there is a disputes resolution process that can be followed.
“It is to be hoped that both sides take up this opportunity for engagement.”
