Labour welcomes expense transparency
“Labour welcomes the release of these
figures. There is now transparency in the system,” Labour
Junior Whip Steve Chadwick said today.
“Analysis of the figures will show that it costs more for some Members to get to and from Wellington.
“Also some have Wellington accommodation costs and some do not. Some Members have portfolios and responsibilities that involve extra travel.
“We will not be commenting on individual figures, either our own or that of other party Members,” Steve Chadwick said.
