Kevin O'Connor reappointed to Takeovers Panel

Kevin O'Connor has been reappointed to the Takeovers Panel for a term of nine months, Commerce Minister Simon Power announced today.

"I am pleased that Kevin O'Connor has been reappointed. He is one of the longest serving panel members and was part of the group that originally drafted and revised the Takeovers Code, and saw it through to its enactment in July 2001.

"He is respected not only for his knowledge and understanding of the Takeovers Code, but also for his substantial experience in takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, investment management and governance," Mr Power said.

Kevin O'Connor
Kevin O'Connor is a company director with over 30 years experience in New Zealand's financial and capital markets. He is a past Chair of the NZX Market Surveillance Panel, former vice-president of NXZ, and founding Chair for Infratil. His current board roles are with Utilico Emerging Markets Ltd, Todd Investment Board, Willeston Holdings, Stebbings Farmlands, and Wellington Regional Community Foundation.
