Wong Says Goodbye As Faafoi Says Hello

After Question Time, retiring National MP Pansy Wong gave her valedictory speech by leave of the House.

The Appropriation (2009/10 Financial Review) Bill was given its first reading without debate by 69 to 52 with National, ACT, the Maori Party and United Future supporting.

MPs began the committee stage debate on the Electoral (Finance Reform and Advance Voting) Amendment Bill and the Parliamentary Service Amendment Bill.

Debate will be interrupted at 5.45 for Kris Faafoi to give his maiden speech.
