Parliament Adjourns Until March
When Parliament
resumed at 2pm Deputy Prime Minister Bill English made a
ministerial statement on the earthquake that devastated
Christchurch on Tuesday.
Party leaders spoke in reply and
Civil Defence Minister John Carter made a further statement
on the earthquake and the response to it.
By leave of the
House Parliament then adjourned until March 8.
