State Owned Enterprises
Minister Tony Ryall has reappointed the Chair of MetService,
Sarah Smith, along with making five new director
appointments to SOE and Airport Boards.
Four new SOE directors have been appointed: Mary Jane Daly to Airways Corporation, Steve Murray to AsureQuality, Graeme Sumner to Kordia and Ant Howard to MetService. Mark Rogers has been appointed as a director of Dunedin International Airport, which is 50% owned by the Crown together with Dunedin City Council.
A further 18 directors have been reappointed to Crown Fibre Holdings, the Electricity Corporation of New Zealand, Christchurch International Airport, Hawke’s Bay Airport, KiwiRail, Landcorp, MetService, Quotable Value and Transpower.
Mr Ryall thanks the retiring directors for their efforts and service, and wishes them well for their future endeavours.

Steve Murray is Chief
Executive of the Tuaropaki Trust in Taupō. He was Chief
Executive of Tainui Group Holdings for four years. Steve is
a director of Team Talk Ltd and a former director of Radio
New Zealand Ltd.
AIRWAYS
Mary Jane Daly, of Auckland,
was the Executive General Manager of State Insurance (part
of the IAG Group) from 2009 to 2012, and Chief Financial
Officer of IAG New Zealand from 2006 to 2009.
DUNEDIN
AIRPORT
Mark Rogers, is General Manager of Oamaru Shingle
Supplies Ltd and is shortly to take up the role of CEO of
Paul Smith Earthmoving (2002) Ltd.
KORDIA
Graeme
Sumner, of Melbourne, is Managing Director of ASX-listed
Advanced Braking Technology Ltd and was previously Managing
Director of Service Stream.
METSERVICE
Ant Howard, of
Auckland, established Howard and Co Ventures Ltd in 2000. Mr
Howard currently holds a number of directorships, including
GFG Group, Payglobal and Wellnomics, and has been Chair of
GeoSmart since
2009.
