Lady Emily Latimer
Lady Emily Latimer
New Zealand First extends our sympathies to the family of Lady Emily Latimer after her sudden death.
“Lady Emily’s tenaciousness, support and loyalty to her family and the work of her husband, Sir Graham Latimer, helped put Maori issues to the forefront of our nation which eventually led to the status that the Treaty of Waitangi is now held in legislation,” says Spokesperson for Maori Affairs Pita Paraone.
“Whether it was in the boardrooms of the New Zealand Maori Council and the Taitokerau Maori Trust Board or the corridors of power or the highest courts in the land, Lady Emily was ever present to support the work of Sir Graham.
