Christchurch Paedophile Deserves to Be Exposed
New Zealand First supports Christchurch sisters Karen Beaumont and Anne-Marie Forsyth and their fight to expose the paedophile who was convicted of sexually abusing them 20 years ago.
“For the last two decades this paedophile has hidden behind name suppression while his victims have wanted to expose him for his crimes - this is not fair,” says New Zealand First List MP Pita Paraone.
“New Zealand First’s Criminal Procedure (Removing Paedophile Name Suppression) Amendment Bill would remove name suppression for paedophiles where the victim has not requested it or would like the suppression removed.
“Here are two brave sisters that want their attacker publicly named for what he did and they should have every right to see this done.
“New Zealand First supports the rights of victims and our Bill will do just that,” says Mr Paraone.
