National About To Be Burnt, Again - ACT

ACT Finance spokesman Rodney Hide said today that National was once again bowing to New Zealand First's demands with Max Bradford now having to report to Winston Peters.

"Bradford's electricity reforms are muddle-headed and have been bungled. All electricity consumers are the losers.

"Max Bradford is now so desperate to save face that he is allowing Winston Peters to call the shots. That alone should be a message to National that these reforms are wrong.

"Winston will do the usual, play with National and then ditch them at the last hour.

"The National party should follow ACT's advice and stick to its principles. Privatisation and competition serve consumers best not meddling politicians out to play games," said Rodney Hide.
