Cullen's Outburst Exposes Labour's Weakest Link

Media Release -- Economy

ACT Finance Spokesman Rodney Hide today said that the embarrassing outburst from Dr Michael Cullen under pressure over Labour's industrial relations policy had exposed the Party's weakest link.

"Dr Cullen is clearly in need of counselling. I would recommend a course in anger management.

"If Michael Cullen can't stand up to questioning on one of his Party's key policies in opposition, goodness knows what he would be like if he were ever in government having to accept responsibility and put up with Jim Anderton. Dr Cullen clearly couldn't take it.

"Dr Cullen's embarrassing outburst today showed he's got a problem.

"He should also recognise that Labour's "return to the bad old days" industrial relations policy is bad news for the country. Instead of flying off the handle every time it gets discussed, he should simply accept that it is wrong and reverse it. If he's not prepared to reverse it, then he should at least learn to control his anger when the pitfalls of what Labour is proposing are pointed out," said Rodney Hide.
