'Effective MP for Wellington' launches campaign

Wellington Central MP Richard Prebble leads a
triumphant parade through central Wellington before his
campaign launch today.
The parade will enter Oriental
Parade at noon and travel through the central city,
arriving at the Karori Recreation Centre at 1pm, where Mr
Prebble will address a public meeting with live music.
Mr
Prebble will campaign on the platform of 'An Effective MP
for Wellington Central', including his successful fight
to keep Wellington hospital in Newtown, his defence of
the Town Belt against subdivision plans, and achieving
higher police numbers for Wellington.
Yesterday's Herald
tipped Mr Prebble as "way out in front" and the "strong
favourite" in the crucial seat of Wellington Central.
