Labour's Polling Confirms Hide's Epsom Lead - ACT
ACT's Epsom candidate Rodney Hide said today that he was pleased the Labour Party polling confirmed ACT's polling that Rodney Hide had taken the lead in the race for Epsom.
"ACT's independent polling has put me in front for sometime. But there are a large number of voters who have yet to decide. The race isn't over yet.
"Labour candidate David Jacobs is right today when he says in his press release that Rodney Hide is ahead of the National candidate in Epsom. He is wrong that I am keeping this a secret.
"David Jacobs is nowhere in the race - coming a distant third. I believe this is because he calls everyone who disagrees with him a Nazi and a fascist. Last night he called the independent meeting chairman, top New Zealand toast master Mr Kevin Prohl, fascist and dictatorial, simply for making sure that all candidates had equal speaking times. Mr Jacobs threw a tantrum and threatened to walk.
"Labour voters now realise that they have to vote Rodney Hide for a decent MP that they can rely on and trust," said Rodney Hide.
