A large proportion of voters are still confusing
their electorate vote with their party vote, Alliance
leader Jim Anderton told a public meeting in Christchurch
today.
'I'm still coming across people who think that the
'party vote' means the vote for a local electorate MP.
'Most people who want a change of government will give
their local electorate vote to the candidate most likely to
beat the National-Act-NZ First candidate.
'The Alliance
says that if you only give us one vote, make it the party
vote, because that is the best way to make a
coalition.
'Labour cannot win without a strong party vote
for the Alliance and the Alliance will be campaigning this
week to make it clear that a vote for the Alliance will
make a change of government worthwhile,' Jim Anderton
said.

In 2023, the government is clutching its pearls because senior Labour MP Damien O’Connor has dared suggest that Gaza’s civilian population - already living under apartheid and subjected to sixteen years of an illegal embargo, and now being herded together and slaughtered indiscriminately amid the destruction of their homes, schools, mosques, and hospitals - are also victims of what amounts to genocide.
