Davy complaint forwarded to Auckland Police

Wellington Police have completed immediate inquiries into the complaint from Te Puni Kokiri regarding the circumstances of Canadian John Davy being appointed to head Maori Television.

Detective Inspector Norm Cook, crime services manager for Wellington Police District, said the file will today be handed to Auckland District for follow-up work.

"Whether or not this involves speaking with Mr Davy will be a matter for the Auckland Police," Mr Cook said.

"I’m not prepared to comment on the contents of the file to date."
