PSA President re-elected
PSA
President Ian Bamber has been re-elected for a further
two-year term, PSA national secretary Paul Cochrane said
today.
“Ian Bamber has successfully steered the PSA through a time of great change over the last two years as a result of both the signing of the PSA/Government Partnership Agreement, and the shift in the industrial relations climate stemming from the Employment Relations Act.”
“The new industrial relations environment is one of partnership and inclusion, replacing the old-style, adversarial model. For the PSA, this has led to a steady increase in membership, an increase in delegate numbers, and an unparalleled interest in delegate training.”
Paul Cochrane said Ian Bamber was heading an organisation which could justifiably be proud of the achievements it had made over recent years in enhancing the quality of New Zealand’s public services and one which was looking forward to continuing that work in the future.
