Labour campaign now on-line

The Labour Party has today launched a new website which will be internet users’ front page for Labour’s 2002 election campaign, party president Mike Williams says.

The website, www.followtheleader.co.nz, is being promoted today with an aerial banner in Auckland.

Mike Williams said the website was delivering important messages about Prime Minister Helen Clark’s strong leadership and the Labour-led government’s record in delivering on commitments made before the last election.

“The website also portrays Labour as a modern, accessible party which recognises the importance of up-to-date communications technology.

“The site will be live through the campaign leading up to the 27 July election and will provide a link to the Labour Party site and the opportunity to receive regular updates about the Labour campaign.

“Labour is the only party that can form a stable and effective government after the election and that message is reinforced in the imaginative and clever site launched today,” Mike Williams said.
