Press Release
Libertarianz
Volunteer Day

Freedom & Compassion

"Good will to others by voluntary arrangement is worth celebrating," said Libertarianz Spokesman Russell Watkins on the announcement of World Volunteer Day (December 5th).

"Thousands upon thousands of people voluntarily help out those with a perceived need - whether they need food or repairs to a broken body caused in a car accident; it just goes to show that benevolence need not - and more importantly cannot - come from the government gun," said Watkins.

"Our entire political system - particularly the tax-and-spend welfare system - could be organised via voluntary charity, leaving the best among us the freedom to create wealth, and the liberty to help out those in need if they so desire.

"That large numbers of people already help out, even while they are robbed blind by the parasites in Helengrad, is evidence that people will freely help others when appropriate help is required. The sooner the jack-boot of the socialist left and right is lifted from the neck of those who are most able to help, the more civilised and benevolent this country will become. Happy Volunteer Day", concluded Watkins.
