VENUE CHANGE: Counter-Terrorism At Home Meeting
This
meeting is now at the Unite Office, 307 Willis
Street.
MON, 8 December - 'Counter-terrorism at home: New
legislation and the powers of security agencies in
Aotearoa', a public discussion forum with Keith
Locke, MP, researcher Nicky Hager and Mike
Williams, Wellington Branch Maritime Union Secretary;
they will be addressing the government's legislative agenda
in passing the Terrorism Suppression Act, Counter-terrorism
Bill, the Border Security Bill, and others, along with the
extension of the powers of surveillance by various
government agencies and the Maritime Union's campaign; 7pm
to 9pm, Unite Office, 307 Willis Street. Organised by Peace
Action Wellington.
