And Family To Release Report Into Phone Call From Ron
Burrows
Child, Youth and Family will tomorrow release
the findings of an inquiry by Ailsa Duffy QC into the
handling of a phone call that Ron Burrows, father of
Coral-Ellen, made to the Department on 21 January
2003.
Ailsa Duffy QC presented her report to the
Department on Friday, 12 December.
CYF Acting Chief
Executive Brenda Pilott today briefed Mr Burrows on the
findings of the inquiry and the steps the Department would
take to respond to its recommendations.
“Mr Burrows has
asked for some time to read the report and to discuss its
findings with his family and I was happy to agree to that
request,” Ms Pilott said.
“I have agreed with Mr Burrows
that the report should be publicly available at 9am
tomorrow.”
