Federated Farmers Board appointed in Northland

FFNZ board appointed in Northland

Whangarei farmer Denis Anderson is the President of the newly-created province of Federated Farmers of New Zealand (FFNZ) in Northland.

Mr Anderson was appointed at today's inaugural annual meeting of the as-yet unnamed province.

Other board members elected at the Whangarei meeting were Michael Hayes (Vice President), Howard Dixon (Meat and Fibre Producers' representative), Selwyn Driver (Far North representative); Grant Kokich (Whangarei representative), and Barry Barfoot (Kaipara representative).

"It's very pleasing to have a board up and running in Northland," Mr Anderson said.

FFNZ President Tom Lambie said he was delighted to see the network set up at a local level to feed into and gain support from the national organisation, which has more than 18,000 members in 24 provinces.

"This is a red letter day for our members in Northland. Members can now fully participate at a regional level in the important work that FFNZ is doing right across New Zealand."
