The New Zealand Food Safety Authority is to hold a media conference to discuss concerns surrounding high levels of lead recently found in batches of corn flour.

The lead was first discovered in batches of 100gm Robinsons Step Up Egg Custard during targeted routine testing undertaken as part of NZFSA’s programme of monitoring and surveillance.

NZFSA experts will be at the media conference to provide an update on the issue.

Place: New Zealand Food Safety Authority, Level 7, Telecom House, 86 Jervois Quay, Wellington

Time: 4pm, Monday 26 July

Format: a short presentation on the situation to date, followed by questions from the floor to be answered by a panel of NZFSA experts
