Education

Big Spender On Indoctrination, Big Deal

"Trevor Mallard's trumpeting that New Zealand is spending more on education than most other OECD countries comes as no surprise," says Peter Osborne, Libertarianz Spokesman For Education Deregulation, "but I find it hard to understand why this is something to be proud of.," he wonders. "Mr Mallard may convince the sheeple that his generosity is boundless but those with the ability to work things out for themselves will see through this con."

Osborner points that obviously Mallard has no money himself with which to be generous; that the money he is being so generous with "was stolen from taxpayers in the first place. This wouldn't be quite so obscene if all of this wasted tax money was producing a half-decent education system, but it's not. Literacy and numeracy levels have never been so bad. Many teenagers are leaving school without even a minimal understanding of the basics."

He points also to Mallard's compulsory Early Childhood Diploma-retraining scheme which, backed up by a plethora of meaningless compliance criteria is forcing a record number of privately-run early childhood centres to close down, with many others seriously struggling to stay afloat. "Don't be fooled," sys Osborne, this is exactly as Trevor and his NZEI chums want it. They want full control of New Zealand's young minds, and they understand that if the private sector was freed up then the sheeple would soon see how substandard the state-run indoctrination centres are by comparison. Free-minded, independent individuals do not swallow propaganda as easily as do sheeple, hence the government's strong grip on education. This same scenario is being played out by varying degrees throughout the OECD, as all governments understand the importance of moulding future voters."

Mr Osborne concludes, "Freedom in all areas of human interaction is where the future lies. The alternative doesn't bear thinking about. Right now the most important way to free peoples minds and therefore their lives is to rid education of all government interference. Libertarianz would leave people to keep their earnings, thus further empowering each individual to live their own lives and to pay for their education as they see fit. No longer will governments be able to use education as a tool to produce compliant little sheeple."
