Army Weapons Effect Demonstration

Army Weapons Effect Demonstration

On Wednesday October 20, 2004, New Zealand Army is conducting a weapons effect demonstration in Waiouru. Weapons effect demonstrations allow for an efficient way to demonstrate to personnel from both within the New Zealand Defence Force and other Government agencies current military capabilities.

The weapons effect demonstration will include the New Zealand Light Armoured Vehicle (NZLAV), artillery and mortar fire, and a demonstration of a Combat Team Attack. There will also be a static display of the new Pinzgauer 6x6 vehicle.

Given the recent arrival of new equipment and the development of new capabilities within New Zealand’s Army, media involved with defence reporting are invited to attend the Weapons Effect Demonstration to familiarise themselves with current equipment and capabilities.
