'Defend the Legacy' Builds towards Saturday

Management of 'Defend the Legacy' are gearing up for the mass march and gathering, which takes place this Saturday (5th March 2005) downtown Auckland City. 'Defend the Legacy', aims to promote traditional family values, the institution of marriage and the well being of children. Participants will gather at the corner of Queen and Custom Streets from 10.00am.

At 11.00am the march will commence from lower Queen Street up to Myers Park. Myers Park will set the scene for official proceedings commencing at midday, beginning with the New Zealand National Anthem led by Bella Kalolo followed by a 500-strong kapa haka performance.

Keynote speakers include Auckland based Senior Ministers Peter Mortlock (City Impact Church), Paul deJong (CLCA), Tavale Matai'a (Word of Life Church) and Brian Tamaki (Destiny Churches NZ). Richard Lewis, leader of Destiny New Zealand, will also speak at the event. Further details can be viewed on the event website www.legacy.org.nz
