Rally in support of the Gender Identity Bill.
Agender NZ, the support organisation for transgendered people will be holding a rally in Parliament grounds between 12 noon and 2pm on Wednesday 23rd March.
“This is an historic occasion, it is the first time transgendered people have come together so publicly to fight for their rights” Agender President Claudia McKay said.
“While the Bill has been delayed until after the election, this is the beginning of our campaign to see the bill become law”
The campaign will continue for the duration of the bills passage through Parliament.
Agender welcomes the support of other
organisations and many of those present will be
non-transgendered supporters of the
bill.
