Enrol To Vote This Weekend At Warehouse Stores

Enrol To Vote This Weekend At Over 20 Warehouse Stores

Left it to the last minute to enrol to vote at this year's election? Get down to your local The Warehouse store this weekend and you'll be able to enrol to vote.

"The orange elector character teams up with the Red Sheds this weekend in another bid to reach people who still haven't enrolled to vote," says Murray Wicks, National Manager of the Electoral Enrolment Centre.

"The Warehouse has opened its doors to our teams of enrolment staff to give its customers the opportunity to enrol before or after they've visited the store.

22 Warehouse stores in Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Hawkes Bay, Gisborne, Manawatu, Rangitikei, Wellington and Christchurch from 10am-2pm on Saturday and Sunday.

"We've got over 94% of people enrolled, but there are 161,000 Kiwis who still haven't done it. If you're not enrolled you can't vote," says Mr Wicks.

"The Warehouse is teaming up with the Electoral Enrolment Centre to help provide a service to our customers and the community," says Cynthia Church, The Warehouse Communications Manager.

"People's lives are busy and The Warehouse wanted to help remove a barrier to enrolling by allowing people to enrol at our stores this weekend before or after they've visited," she says.

Participating The Warehouse stores are:

Manukau Clendon New Lynn

Pukekohe Fraser Cove Papamoa

Cameron Road, Tauranga Te Rapa

Hamilton City Whakatane Thames

Taupo Gisborne Napier

Hastings Fielding Palmerston North

Lyall Bay Wellington

Christchurch Riccarton Eastgate
