Press Release: Poseidon Fishing Ltd
Poseidon Fishing Responds to Maritime Union of New Zealand
Press Release by Poseidon Fishing Ltd, Monday 19th
September
Poseidon Fishing is concerned that the press
release entitled "Brutality And Abuse On Board Slave Ships
Revealed By Escaped Crew" is ill founded, incorrect and will
continue to damage the credibility of legitimate foreign
charter operators. The title and the statements contained in
the press release are emotive and designed more to raise the
profile of ITF, than to address the underlying issues.
Poseidon will not be used as a soap box for the ITF.
The
statements made by Ms Whelan and the ITF are defamatory and
redress may be sought against ITF.
