Site protests CanWest plan to screen Bloody Mary

Monday 20th February, 2006

New website launched to protest CanWest decision to broadcast Bloody Mary

A new website has been launched to protest CanWest’s decision to broadcast the highly offensive Bloody Mary episode of South Park.

The website: Stop The Offensive Programming C4 - www.stopc4.org.nz contains information about legitimate ways that New Zealanders can show their opposition to the obscene Bloody Mary episode of South Park.

It also allows people to register their name and email address in protest at CanWest’s decision to broadcast this gravely offensive program.

Bloody Mary is gratuitously offensive to all New Zealand women and to all kiwis with a sincerely held religious faith. It is a pointless offence that is only being broadcast for shock value.

In time; www.stopc4.org.nz will list the details of advertisers who provide financial support to the CanWest network.
