Labour in Fairyland

31 May 2007

Press Release
For immediate release.

Labour in Fairyland.

It is an extraordinary coincidence that every time we see this Labour Government in trouble we see another major domestic violence initiative, says Republicans law and order spokesman Bevan Berg.

At a time when we see unprecedented lawlessness and disorder, one asks

“Is this an attack by a desperate Government on family violence, or an attack by violent Government on desperate families?”

This is the response of a Government who has just been publicly reprimanded and suffered accordingly in the polls for their attack on family authority.

This is not a Government that responds with initiatives to end economic depravation, youth unemployment or with a change in its overt feminist policies.

“It is a Government that perpetuates its own self importance by creating an environment that fosters lawlessness and disorder,” says Mr Berg.

This is not how to get Law and Order back into our society. It won’t happen while there is a growing disparity between Government and the Electorate, and an unreasonable expectation that our Police Force will just magic such issues away.

“This is a Government stuck on agenda, not than stuck into the job,” he said.
