There are no sightings of missing hunter Corey James FOSTER, aged 24, of Ashburton, after a full day searching in the Avoca Valley, inland from Lake Coleridge. There are 23 searchers plus two police dogs in the field today.

The Defence Force Iroquois has been assisting in the aerial searches and transporting teams to different locations, says police search co-ordinator Sergeant Peter Summerfield.

The weather in the area is blowing very strong from the west and is reportedly very cold in the wind.

Mr Foster was reported to have good quality clothing with him and he was well kitted out.

The search will continue at first light tomorrow.
