Random Act of Kindess Day

Saturday 1st of September is Random Act of Kindess Day (RAK Day).

Kiwis are encouraged to do something unexpected and kind for friends, family or even a stranger.

Staff at World Vision New Zealand celebrated RAK Day today by sitting down together and writing to the children they sponsor in developing countries.

"It's our act of kindness. We hope the children will treasure the letters and drawings we send," says World Vision New Zealand's Press Officer, Catherine Healy.

"This kindness continues all year round, because sponsored children receive constant support from World Vision, both for themselves and for their whole communities."
