The following media release has been released by
Southern Comms Centre on behalf of Hokitika Police. Comms
have no details re this. Any media enquiry to Hokitika
Police in morning.
At about 5.30pm on Wednesday the
5th of December 2007, a 19 year old male was found deceased
on Greens Beach, South Westland.
He was part of an
adventure/conservation course run by a youth organisation.
He was with an instructor and a group of 3 other students.
His death is not being viewed as suspicious and Police
are not looking for anyone else in connection with his
death. The matter has been referred to the Coroner.
