Downtown Ministries Book Collections Continue

Book Collections Continue

Book lovers are reminded that now is the time to donate unwanted books for the Downtown Community Ministry annual book fair.

DCM’s David Cross says, “Our collectors are out, all around the city, picking up donations from people so give us call and we’ll drop by.

“People can give their unwanted books, dvds, cds and vinyl records to the book fair. We have wheelibins in public places where items can be dropped off.”

DCM is advertising the book fair on its website and its Facebook page. The Facebook page can be located at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Downtown-Community-Ministry/16957973521

“We’d love to see more supporters join us on Facebook, it’s becoming a great way for people to interact with us,” says Mr Cross.

A Saturday collection day is being experimented with this year to get more books for the book fair. The other collection days take place on Tuesday and Friday.

The book fair raises important funds for DCM’s work with Wellingtonians in need.
