Sio's ranking confirms FILIPAINA a smart vote for Mangere

Family Party leader Richard Lewis says confirmation of William Sio’s high Labour list ranking (24) affirms the Family Party ‘two for one’ Mangere campaign has been the right message for Mangere voters.

“I congratulate Mr Sio on his high placement on Labour’s Party list, which confirms his seat in Parliament. Now he has the opportunity to prove to Mangere that he cares more about the electorate than personal ambition by encouraging his supporters to put their Electorate Vote towards Galumalemana Jerry Filipaina, to secure for Mangere a second hard working MP. It's good for Mr Sio and Mr Filipaina and most of all it's good for Mangere,” said Mr Lewis.

Family Party candidate for Mangere, Galumalemana Jerry Filipaina, comes from a well known Mangere family and has just completed a fourth door to door campaign of the entire electorate, demonstrating over and above the efforts of other candidates that he is working hardest for their respect and votes.

“Confirmation of Mr Sio’s high Labour list ranking affirms our message to Mangere that a vote for Sio is effectively a wasted vote. After all, he went into Parliament earlier this year and he didn’t need Mangere’s vote to get there. I guess from a local perspective it’s a bit of a shame that of Labour's 77 plus candidates, they couldn’t find a Mangere candidate to stand in the electorate, which is why a vote for Jerry Filipaina will secure for Mangere families a second MP who is actually a son of Mangere and not a political import,” he added.
