Theft / Aggravated Assault

At about 2am on Friday 19th December 2008, a European male victim was disturbed by the sound of the engine of his vehicle being revved on a driveway in Strathavon Road, Miramar.

The victim went to his white Toyota Hiace van and confronted two males who were attempting to steal the victim's van.

The two males assaulted the victim who ran to a neighbors house and raised the alarm. The two males then ran off.

The victim suffered multiple bruises and scratches as a result of the assault.

The offenders are described as;

1: Maori or Polynesian male. Aged 17 to 18 years old. 5'10' to 6 feet tall, Medium to stocky build. Short dark hair and wearing a black top with lettering on the front.

2: Also a male aged 17 to 18 years old and 5'10' to 6 feet tall. Short hair and wearing a grey hooded top.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw what happened, or who have any information that could assist the enquiry.
