Levin: double stabbing

Incident type: double stabbing

At about 4.45 am this morning emergency services were called to the scene of a double stabbing at the intersection of Weraroa Road and York Street, Levin. The two male teenage victims received a number of cuts each as a result of this attack however none of their injuries are life threatening.

Inquiries indicate that this was an unprovoked attack by two unknown offenders, who are described as male Maoris, aged in their 20's, both of whom were wearing hooded tops of an unknown colour.

Levin CIB are investigating the matter however will not be available for comment until later this morning.
