Sensible Sentencing Trust backs
Christchurch mother in raising awareness of rapist being
released.
Leah Matena, Christchurch Sensible Sentencing Trust spokesperson says “I appeal to every parent in New Zealand, imagine how you would feel if it was your daughter? Walk a mile in this mothers shoes and I believe you would do exactly the same thing”
“Sensible Sentencing Trust stands behind the Christchurch mother as long as it is kept within the law, and her actions certainly are.” “We don’t need these offenders walking our streets preying on our young and vulnerable.”
“According to Robert Ford, Chief executive of Safe Network, leaflet drops place the offender under stress. Can you for one minute imagine the stress this mother and her daughter have been under since this low life took her daughters innocence?” says Leah Matena .
“How about this, we put this mother and her daughter first …and consider their feelings and suffering BEFORE this low life rapist! Now wouldn’t that be a novel idea”?
