CTU appoints new communications advisor

Fraser Pettigrew has been appointed to the position of Communications and Campaigns Advisor at the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions (CTU). Fraser takes over from Sam Huggard who moved to the National Distribution Union (NDU) in January.

Fraser has a long public sector communications background in the UK, particularly in public health and education. He was in charge of the regional press desk at the UK’s Department for Education and Skills for two years, and worked on stakeholder comms around the launch of the Department of Health’s biggest ever white paper Choosing Health in 2005. He has also worked in commercial PR and publishing.

Fraser will be the first point of contact at the CTU for all media enquiries.
