Media Release 20 May 2009

Relationship Services Welcomes Funding Announcement

Today’s announcement of additional funding for the social services sector has been welcomed by Jeff Sanders, CEO of Relationship Services and a member of the Pathways to Partnership Steering Group.

“This funding is very important to the sector which provides many essential social services,” said Mr Sanders.

“We are very pleased that the Government has recognised the important role of NGOs in the community, and the financial stress many are currently under.”

“The $40 million provided through the Community Response Fund will make a real difference groups struggling to cope with the increased demand for their services,” said Mr Sanders.
