Rhys Darby puts poem to paper over climate change

Auckland 24 July 2009 – Kiwi comedian and actor Rhys Darby has released a poem on YouTube, calling for New Zealand to reduce its emissions by 40 per cent by 2020.

See the clip here: http://www.signon.org.nz/people/rhys-darby-poem-video (and at Youtube here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MZwMpQoqVM)

In a happy coincidence, the poem - “Global Warning” – is premiering on Montana Poetry Day.

Rhys Darby is one of a range of high profile ambassadors for Greenpeace’s Sign On campaign, which is calling for the Government to commit to a 40 per cent emission reduction target by 2020.

So far over 75,000 people have Signed On. Go to www.signon.org.nz for more information.
